Installation

Help on How to install a uPVC fence.

Here at upvc fencing and decking we can only install fencing in the Blackpool and Preston areas, but you can install your own or find a local fencing contractor in your local paper or online.

Here are a few tips on how to install your own fencing, keeping in mind that the fencing is plastic so it is very light and easier than concrete to install.

Dig a hole two feet deep and about 6 inches square, set the post into it. Get a spirit level and level the post vertically in the hole. Support it in position using a couple of bricks or rubble. Check the level continuously as bumps are likely to put it out of line. When you're sure the post is perfectly level, and stable, you can begin putting the dry mix concrete in the hole, Check the level as you go along. As you put the dry mix in, begin to tamp it down until it's hard. As you're tamping, continue to check the vertical level to insure the posts are straight up vertical.

When you have the first post installed, get your base panel and place it into the slot of your post, and that will give you the distance from the first post to the second, and you can dig your second hole. Dig the second following the first instruction, but prior to filling it with concrete put the first panel into place, then when all is level fill the hole with the dry mix cement.

Once the hole has been filled you can now put the rest of the panels in, and then you can carry on putting the rest of your fence up.

Put your post caps on and that's it!

Now sit back and enjoy your maintenance free fence for years to come.
